Provider Nurse Supervisor

Richmond Allergy and Asthma Specialists is a privately-owned specialty practice that cares about finding the cause of patient’s allergy and asthma symptoms. We are well known for our thorough work-up so the best treatment can be offered to help our patients feel better.

A nonexempt position responsible for day-to-day operation of the Provider Nurses, other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Promotes team ethics and professionalism.
• Oversees the daily operations of the Provider Nurses.
• Ensures professional, accurate and prompt service to patients and internal employees.
• Oversees training of Provider Nurses.
• Explains procedures and treatments in a calm, professional, pleasant manner to patient to gain cooperation and understanding.
• Responsible for the safety of the patient and the Provider Nurses.
• Notifies physician and/or Administrator of any adverse reactions to skin testing or allergy injections.
• Oversees all process to include provider scheduling, patient issues, nursing questions, adequate nurse staffing.
• Document phone conversations recording pertinent patient information.
• Responds to critical patient incidents using nursing standards, policies, procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by Administrator.
• Oversees the care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies.
• Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned including respecting/promoting patient rights and sharing problems relating to patients and/or staff with immediate supervisor.
• Attends and participates in team and departmental meetings.
• Maintains strictest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and Richmond Allergy and Asthma Specialists confidentiality policy.
• Represents Richmond Allergy and Asthma Specialists in a positive and professional manner.

Education:

Current Registered Nurse License or Licensed Practical Nurse License, current CPR certification and supervisory experience.

Experience:

One year of experience in allergy related practice and at least one year supervisory experience.
